An amazing experience!

Alexander McQueen!

“I want to empower women. I want people to be afraid of the women I dress.”

“It is important to look at death because it is a part of life. It is a sad thing, melancholy but romantic at the same time. It is the end of a cycle – everything has to end. The cycle of life is positive because it gives room for new things.”

"It is the end of a cycle -- everything has to end. The cycle of life is positive because it gives room for new things."

"I fnd beauty in the grotesque, like most artists
i have to force people to look at things"

“I get my ideas out of my dreams… if you’re lucky enough to use something you see in a dream, it is purely original. It’s not in the world — it’s in your head. I think that is amazing.”

"There is no better designer than nature."

"Beauty can come from the strangest of places, even the most disgusting of places."

"It's the ugly things I notice more, because other people tend to ignore the ugly things."

"Animals... fascinate me because you can find a force, an energy, a fear that also exists in sex."

From heaven to hell and back again, life is a funny thing. "

You’ve got to know the rules to break them. That’s what I’m here for, to demolish the rules but to keep the tradition.

"There is no way back for me now. I am going to take you on journeys you’ve never dreamed were possible.” – Alexander McQueen

I oscillate between life and death, happiness and sadness, good and evil.

[some more informations]

Lee Alexander McQueen, (17 March 1969 – 11 February 2010) was a British fashion designer and couturier best known for his in-depth knowledge of bespoke British tailoring, his tendency to juxtapose strength with fragility in his collections, as well as the emotional power and raw energy of his provocative fashion shows.

McQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. He was found that morning by his housekeeper at his home on Green Street, London W1, hanged. Paramedics were called and they pronounced him dead at the scene.
McQueen died days before London Fashion Week, though he was not scheduled to show, and nine days after the death of his mother, Joyce, 75, from cancer.David LaChapelle, a friend of the designer said that McQueen "was doing a lot of drugs and was very unhappy" at the time of his death.
